Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Harborlight Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around Columbus, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Columbus. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
