Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Lumen Stone Facilities is a facilities company in Detroit with crews on day and night shifts, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 35 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for supply orders and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with safety inspections. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
