Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Rivermark Basin Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Chicago design routes and schedules. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with accessibility audits. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
