Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Fern Farms and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. We are a family-run business at heart. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for packing house output and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with harvest schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
