Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Fernwood Junction Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Raleigh and nearby communities. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Track performance measures for billing accounts and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Raleigh. • We reply to every applicant.
