Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Northwind Rowan Inspection Services is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for test reports, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for test reports and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with certifications. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
