Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Silverline Birch Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Des Moines, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Track performance measures for service complaints and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
