Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

We are growing our team at Cedar Kestrel Water Authority and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Track performance measures for water quality and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
