Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Northwind Logistics makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Madison. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for allergen controls and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with sanitation schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Madison. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
