Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Silverline Meridian Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in San Jose. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 109 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with sanitation schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
