Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Fernwood Meridian Foods Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for allergen controls, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ingredient orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
