Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Fernwood Hollow Energy Group supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Knoxville. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with outage response. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
