Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Fernwood Bridge Freight Group is a Savannah logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 102 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for claims and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Savannah. • We reply to every applicant.
