Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Amberfield Wilder Construction is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for materials orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Track performance measures for materials orders and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with permits. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
