Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Nova Mill Environmental Services collects and processes waste and recycling around St. Louis. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of about 830 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for service complaints and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with fleet maintenance. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in St. Louis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
