Operations Manager - safety and compliance (remote)

Nova Birch Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Hartford, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Hartford. • We reply to every applicant.
