Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Raleigh, NC)

We are growing our team at Amberfield West Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with dock schedules. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Raleigh. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
