Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Providence, RI)

Summit Glen Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Providence. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for service complaints and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with collection routes. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
