Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Providence, RI)

Cedar Stone Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Providence design routes and schedules. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for fare systems and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Providence. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
