Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Oakland, CA)

Greenridge Cross Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Oakland. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • We reply to every applicant.
