Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Nashville, TN)

We are growing our team at Harborlight Juniper Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 14 people based in Nashville. What you will do • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Nashville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
