Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Milwaukee, WI)

Harborlight Linden Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Milwaukee. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. We reward reliability. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with loads and lanes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
