Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Milwaukee, WI)

Northwind Lakeside Environmental Services is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for recycling loads, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for recycling loads and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with collection routes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
