Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Knoxville, TN)

Bright West Transit Planning is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for route schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Work is collaborative and map-heavy. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for route schedules and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Knoxville. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
