Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Indianapolis, IN)

Fernwood Linden Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Indianapolis, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of about 376 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for equipment calibration and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
