Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Indianapolis, IN)

Westbrook Harbor Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Indianapolis, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for proof of delivery and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with carrier rates. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
