Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Honolulu, HI)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Sparrow Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people based in Honolulu. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Honolulu. • We reply to every applicant.
