Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Hartford, CT)

Fernwood Hollow Farms Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for packing house output, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for packing house output and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with harvest schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
