Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Detroit, MI)

Lumen Nest Manufacturing Partners manufactures parts and assemblies at its Detroit plant, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. What you will do • Track performance measures for machine downtime and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with scrap and rework. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
