Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Detroit, MI)

Redstone Ivory Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Detroit. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
