Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Detroit, MI)

Northwind Juniper Foods produces packaged foods at its Detroit plant, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 105 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for production batches and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ingredient orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
