Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Detroit, MI)

Highbridge Clear Freight Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for dock schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for dock schedules and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
