Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Detroit, MI)

Summit Fern Energy Group delivers power and gas plans across the Detroit region. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for outage response and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with hardship programmes. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
