Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Bright Orchard Environmental Services and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would join a small organisation of about 43 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Track performance measures for weigh tickets and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with fleet maintenance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
