Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Detroit, MI)

Highbridge Sparrow Environmental Services is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for landfill records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for landfill records and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training.
