Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Des Moines, IA)

Rivermark Pike Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Des Moines area. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for billing accounts and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with water quality. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
