Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Des Moines, IA)

Northwind Linden Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Des Moines. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for test reports and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with scheduling. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
