Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Fern Energy and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for hardship programmes and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with meter readings. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
