Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Denver, CO)

Summit Forge Freight Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 74 people based in Denver. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Denver. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
