Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Sable Water Authority Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of about 813 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for treatment plant data and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
