Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Bright Juniper Environmental Services and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be safety and compliance. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for fleet maintenance and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with recycling loads. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
