Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Chicago, IL)

Greenridge Stone Freight Group is a Chicago logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of about 849 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer tracking. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
