Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Chicago, IL)

Summit Orchard Environmental Services is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for service complaints, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for service complaints and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with weigh tickets. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
