Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Chicago, IL)

Nova Drift Environmental Services Group is an environmental-services company in Chicago with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. We take pride in clean streets. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for weigh tickets and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with recycling loads. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
