Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Charlotte, NC)

Fernwood Birch Transit Planning is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for service alerts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 166 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for service alerts and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Charlotte. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
