Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Charleston, SC)

Northwind Orchard Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Charleston, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. Safety briefings happen every morning. What you will do • Track performance measures for service complaints and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with weigh tickets. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
