Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Boston, MA)

Bright West Transit Planning is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 347 people based in Boston. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for ridership counts and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
