Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Boise, ID)

Nova Hollow Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on safety and compliance for carrier rates, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 917 people based in Boise. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Boise, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
