Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Birmingham, AL)

Ironwood Willow Manufacturing is a Birmingham manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of about 225 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Track performance measures for customer orders and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with tooling. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
