Operations Manager - safety and compliance (Birmingham, AL)

Lumen Vista Water Authority Group supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Birmingham and nearby communities, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our safety and compliance. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Track performance measures for treatment plant data and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training.
